The amending Ordinance of
up by the General Council of Medical Education and Registra-
tion of the United Kingdom.
1914 introduced the principle of accepting only those qualifi-
oations which would be recognised by the General Medical Coun-
cil. The effect of section 4 of the present Ordinance is
to enable the Governor in Council to remove from the register
any person who would not be qualified for registration now,
provided that such person shall not have been in continuous
practice in the Colony for a period of three monthe at any
time during the period of five years next preceding the publi-
cation in the Gazette of notice of proposal to make the order.
Notice is to be sent, if possible, to the person proposed to
be affected.

In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His Excel-
lency the Governor may properly assent in the name of His
Majesty and on His behalf.
